How Grip Affects Your Weight Lifting

Grip counts big time when you’re lifting weights. How it does is common sense when you stop and think about it. One example is when you’re using weight lifting gloves, you’re not going to have the same control over weight. The same goes for lifting thicker bars. The more distance between you and the weight you’re lifting, the less you’ll be able to lift.

So you want to move up into the big lifter’s club? The answer on how to lift heavier weight is simple, but the process is extremely difficult. If you want to lift heavy weight, you’ve got to lift heavy weight. Haha. Sorry to disappoint you if you were expecting a big secret, but the only way to get your curls, squats, bench press, or whatever else up is to start moving up the weight. You must constantly challenge yourself to make your muscles acclimated to heavier weights. It is only then that you will see bigger gains.
