Most small businesses express confidence in growth

More than 75 percent of owners and managers of small businesses say their companies are either on target or will grow at a faster pace than projected this year, according to a national survey released Monday by Administaff, Inc.
More than 6,000 small- and medium-size businesses were polled.
The economy was cited as the most serious concern in 2008 by more than 60 percent of companies, followed by 52 percent who said finding ways to control operating costs was a key challenge, while 40 percent listed hiring the right employees.

Bosses Are People Too
Lots of entrepreneurs break out on their own because they’re tired of taking orders from someone else. Lots of people have stories about a “really, really crappy boss.”
