The Honda Fit is now in its second generation and there have been a few changes. The most notable is the more sleek and reduced front hood. Despite it’s compression the Fit is a little longer this year to help accommodate larger N. American men. Despite these alterations you may find the Fit a snug car if you are over 6 feet tall.

the Fit’s most impressive feature it’s value and price. At just $14,000 to start the Fit is the perfect car for just puttering around town in. It’s size will also save you at the pump. The Fit’s 1.5L I4 Vtech engine gets and impressive 27 mpg in the city and over 33 mpg out on the highway.

The 2010 Honda Odyssey might just be the ultimate family vehicle of the year. It has all of the comforts you would expect on a luxury minivan and with seven seats it’s perfect for any growing family. The Odyssey is marketed for the families who like to drive SUV’s but who need a minivan to accommodate their family. Because of this the Odyssey is larger than other minivans in it’s class. The hefty build is countered by ingenious engineering you would expect from Honda.

2010 Honda Odyssey

Although revered as a suburban vehicle and loathed by young parents (myself included) it’s hard to dispute the practicality of minivan. And the Odyssey is the ultimate in minivan multi-use. The rear cargo area provides plenty of space to store camping gear for the whole family. You can even extend the cargo area by retracting the rear folding seats for seemingly unlimited space (Costco here I come!). The mid row seats can also be easily removed but need to be stored away in the garage.

The powerplant on the 2010 Odyssey include the available 3.5L V6 255 hp engine that has the ability to disable some of the cylinders to conserve fuel during certain driving conditions. The V^ provides plenty of power when needed but don’t go thinking this is a sports car, the Odyssey drives more like a truck. It’s size does have its drawback though. The van can only get 17 mpg in the city and 23 mpg out on the highway. Not terrible numbers, but it won’t earn you green points either.

Also keep in mind that the 2010 Honda Odyssey will be the last year for its generation. The new fourth generation 2011 Odyssey will be completely different in design and features. The starting price for the Odyssey is a pricey $26,805 with the Touring model topping $40,000. Although highly priced for it’s class, the Odyssey makes it up by having a very high resale value.

You may not have heard of the new Honda U3-X that was unveiled today in Japan, but it may just be the future of short range driving trips. Yes you could be a hippie-millionaire and dote around on a new Segway, or you can sit on the super cool looking Honda U3-X. The Honda U3-X can be summed up in six words – unicycle Segway that you sit on. That was clear, concise and to the point.

Honda U3-X

The Honda U3X was made by the same people who designed that robot that can walk like a human. Using it’s balancing technology the U3X can move around just by the slightest tilt. The machine is always constantly trying to keep their passenger ballanced so I’m wondering if that would cause any problems when someone want’s to sit and eat or perform tasks around the house. Ideally this would be the perfect replacement of the wheelchair though I don’t see anyone using this in the near future. Not until the system has been perfected. Other cool features on the Honda U3X is that it has the ability to move from side to side.

The Honda U3-X will be be available to view at the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show from October 24th – November 2th located at the Makuhar Messe, Chiba City. Follow the link for more information or if you would like to attend.

The car is small but don’t be deceived, this is not the kind of car you take out for a Sunday drive. The small 2.2L Vtec engine puts out an astounding 237-hp! That’s more than enough juice to launch you and the car past the checkered flag.

The biggest difference between the regular S2000 and S2000 CR is that the CR has wider tires for better traction and it has a large spoiler that promises better aerodynamics. Not that will get you better milage but it will keep you on the ground when you are tearing through the track.

Starting prices for the 2009 Honda S2000 are $34,995 and $36,995 for the S2000 CR. So get them now before they are all gone.

The Accord Coupe comes in a variety of trims to suite and budget and driving experience. I of course would always recommend getting everything the car has to offer. In the case of the Coupe that means the 3.5L V6 271-hp engine that helps it perform more like a sports car. The handling it aided by the Accords low center of gravity. It also has a complex multi-link rear suspension which also help enhance your driving experience.

If you believe the Honda Accord it perfect for you check one out at your local Honda dealership for a test drive.

The MotoGP season runs through the majority of the year with 18 fabulous racing venues in 14 different countries, many with unique cultures and ways of life which enhance the MotoGP experience around the known world. The MotoGP brings together the worlds’ top sportbike manufacturers like Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, Ducati, Aprilia, KTM, and Kawasaki to compete against each others machines and racers to determine which manufacturer and elite sportbike-racer are the best each year.

Moto Grand Prix

The sportbikes the racers implement at break-neck speeds around unforgiving pavement, which can quickly and permanently end your career or even your life, are space-age machines purposely built to race at full power. The amazing sportbikes you see Valentino Rossi and Casey Stoner implement in their battles on the track aren’t available for purchase at your local motorcycle retailer and if your local police man caught you riding it down the road, you would be probably be paying a hefty fine.

The Grand Prix Road-Racing World Championship was born in 1949 when the Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) organized the first race to allow racers and their bikes to compete against one another to see which bike and rider were the best. During the intervening years the Moto Grand Prix has been administered by commercial rights owner Dorna Sports under the supervision of the FIM since 1992.

The Moto Grand Prix World Championship has undergone a revolution of a sort since beginning what many fanatics and industry professionals consider a new era during the 2002 Moto Grand Prix season. The revolution allowed for the participation of bikes with four-stroke powerplants, which for the 2007 MotoGP season adapted MotoGP sportbikes from 990cc engine capacity to 800cc. The result has been an increase in the spectacle of MotoGP, with greater corner speeds and even more competitive and fun races for both the racers and the fans.

This revolution in the Moto Grand Prix continued during the 2008 season as well, as the MotoGP Championship became the first motorsport Championship to host a night time race venue under Losail International Circuit’s state of the art lighting system. This added a unique aspect to the season as the 2008 Moto Grand Prix Championship got started with a visual racing feast at Qata.

Many wonder what the future of vehicles will look like. Some have speculated a world of electric cars, others solar powered. Honda, who is one of the most innovative car manufacturers on the planet seems to believe it to be hydrogen fuel-cells.

Fuel-cells work by storing hydrogen in tanks and converting it into electricity that powers an electric motor. Because the vehicle is not a hybrid it will be able to house a much larger and more powerful electric motor. The hydrogen has to be refueled by special refueling stations that don’t exist yet but analysists believe they will come. Fuel-cell cars promise to have the same performance you would expect from a gas engine except that in the case of hydrogen, the only exhaust is water vapor.

Okay so here’s the down sides. Hydrogen is a highly flammable/explosive gas that could ignite in a crash. Manufacturers will have to prove to consumers that these things are safe and that the chance of explosion are minimal.

If the idea takes off and all the kinks worked out it could be a very viable option. Hydrogen is easily extracted from water by applying a simple electrical current. Therefore water could easily be the new fuel. This however will not help the already depletion of fresh water supplies in the world. I wonder then if hydrogen plants couldn’t extract hydrogen from sea water? No matter what happens it is clear that consumers will have the final say in the value of hydrogen fuel-cell technology.

A frequent complaint from hybrid critics is the price increase over gas-only models. With more hybrids now being sold than ever before, it’s certain that customers are feeling that pinch. Honda announced earlier this week that its new hybrid models will be closing the gap with estimated differences falling under $2000.

Honda President, Takeo Fukui, said Honda’s new line up of hybrids will debut in 2009, with a five-seater hatchback similar to the FCX Clarity. Also in the works, a Honda Fit, and a sporty CR-Z.

All of that is great, of course, but when will we get a hybrid minivan? Come on, Fukui. I thought you might be the man to put the plan in motion. For a company seemingly in a race to catch up with Toyota, and having a very successful minivan currently in production, I think ignoring this market is a mistake.

MLive.com also has a list of “hybrid premiums” and how many years it typically takes to get your investment back (based on specific factors, including an average gas price that will soon be surpassed, shrinking these estimates some):
