You might also check Big Lots, flea markets, and closeout centers. You may not find it at all – but it is another item you can add to your list to look for when you are out on your daily travels.

Hot Holiday Toys 2008 to Sell on eBay

I kid you not. I’ve heard through the grapevine that Pooper Scooper Barbie and her accessories are a hot seller on eBay. Barbie comes with her dog, Tanner, dog biscuits, bowl, trash can, and a magnetic “scooper” to clean up after her pooch. At first glance, this toy looks pretty ridiculous, but maybe this is a way to teach kids that if they have a pet, there are responsibilities that come with it.

Pooper Scooper Barbie was actually recalled on August 14, 2007 due to the dangers of her magnetic poop-pick-up stick. The Consumer Product Safety Commission calls this item the “Barbie and Tanner Playset.”

Apparently, Pooper Scooper Barbie is hot with international buyers. This Barbie was released about 2 years ago, and I wonder if international buyers are just learning of her existence. My gut tells me that this is just another Barbie collectible – the theme is irrelevant, maybe she is just being added to shelves of collectors as a helper for Veterinarian Barbie?

Hot Item on eBay – Pooper Scooper Barbie

Aveeno Active Naturals Eczema Care Cream. My kids and I use this lotion and it is great for eczema or dry patches. A couple of months ago, I began having a hard time finding it and emailed Aveeno to find out why. The item has been discontinued and will be rereleased at an unknown future date.

Then the light bulb came on. If I live in a city with over a million people and plenty of shopping, and I am having a hard time finding this item, I wonder how other people are finding it. Hmmm, I wonder what it is selling for on eBay. After searcing current and completed listings, I found that people were selling this on eBay for over $40 a tube! It costs $9.99 retail.

So, back in May and early June, I scoured Atlanta for all I could find. I came up with about 35 tubes after visiting over 40 stores. My best sale was 2 tubes for $81 – a $61 profit on one listing!

You can find this cream at CVS, Walgreens, Vons, Walmart, and Target. Look on the First Aid aisle by the Sarna lotion and BandAids. (At Walgreens, it will be way up on the top shelf, so look up!) But be prepared not to find it and move on to the next location searching. This item is very hard to find. Since the word is out, profit is not as high on eBay, but sellers are still profiting $10-$15 a tube. The key is finding it and getting your listing up now, before prices drop further.

Not a bad profit for something you may be able to find at your local drugstore. Sellers are also reporting a nice profit on the corresponding Aveeno Eczema Body Wash, although the body wash has not been discontinued.

So, run, don’t walk, to your nearest drugstore and see if you can find this item!
