This year, there aren’t clear lines separating the best players from the good players. Usually, by mid-season, you can pick out around 10 players who should be in consideration for the Heisman above all others. I don’t think that’s the case this year. One of my friends actually joked last weekend that they should give the Heisman to the best defensive player this year, because there’s not really a quarterback, running back, etc. that deserves the honor.

College Football Week Two 2009 in Review

I already talked about the Notre Dame – Michigan Game a little earlier today, but that wasn’t by far the only good game of the week. Week Two was surprisingly interesting. If this is any indication of what the rest of the 2009 college football season is like, it’s going to be an interesting year.

Patrick Edwards: "No Hard Feelings"

On Tuesday, Houston freshman wide receiver Patrick Edwards ran out of the back of the end zone chasing after a pass and hit a Marshall marching band service cart, breaking his leg.
He flipped end over end, and is lucky that all he has is a broken leg. After surgery and a long recovery period, Edwards will, in all likelihood, be able to play next year.
Marshall’s insurance is covering the medical bills, and in the future, these carts will be placed somewhere safer. At times like these, it would be really easy to Edwards to get upset or …read more
