Is MS Goni a potential murderer?

Just saw this on some sidey news channel. MS Goni has been accused of threatening to kill someone. The someone is someone very close to him. The someone is someone who knows him the best. The someone I am talking about is his mom. So when Mrs. Kaur says, we sit up and listen. In human, this means that supposedly MS Goni threatened is parents that he would kill them.
The story pans out as this: First MS Goni fell in love. He was a nobody then (read Indian Domestic Cricketer), with little hope for the future (some might disagree). …read more

Unlucky Indian Cricketers making their debut in Bangladesh

I came across this interesting piece of fact. They say that Bangladesh is such a happy hunting ground for cricketers. Obviously it is, but what if we consider players making their debut in Bangladesh? What if we consider just Indian cricketers? The result is surprising. I did some research and this is what I came up with:
SS Das : Debuted in Dhaka; Career Matches played : 23 Tests; Status : Career almost over
Saba Karim : Debuted in Dhaka; Career Matches Played : 1 Test; Status : Unhappily Retired and is now seen on TV as a wannabe presenter
Hemang Badani …read more

Viru You Little Beauty!

Just watched the Delhi vs Deccan Match. The Deccan Chargers started out slow, but picked up later and reached 142, thanks to a certain Mr Rohit Sharma, about whom I would have loved to talk about now. But alas. Limelight is a very narrow lane. Only one can steal it. It was Virender Sehwag’s night. Just look at these figures:
Runs : 94
Balls : 41
Fours : 10
Sixes : 6
Poor old Andrew Symonds went for 30 in an over. This was certainly SOME innings. I beg your pardon if I am not articulate enough. Its just that….well….I am excited. The IPL has …read more

Firm Beginnings, High Hopes

Having guest blogged here before, the look and the feel of this blog was not new to me. It always inspired me. It was popular! I used to say to myself: “See, This is where you have to end up. Something similar at least!.” Now that I am here, its time to redefine the goals. By the way, the heading for this post is not about me. Its about the Indian Premier League (IPL).
I always wanted to start with something I feel very strongly about. Being an Indian, knowing a bit about Premier level cricket and loving the concept of …read more
