All of New England is doing a happy dance today thanks to a small feat called “WINNING GAME 7 OF THE ALCS” by a score of 11-2. Josh Beckett nabbed MVP and Ex-Girlfriend-Turned-Cleveland’s-Go-To-Anthem Girl Danielle Peck wasn’t even there to sing “For He’s a Jolly Good Fellow.” (The nerve, you know?)
Alas, there’s a shortage of midnight oil here due to the game’s late night/early morning end. Sox fans are tired and some of us *cough* including me *cough* were late for work today. Imagine you throw a complete game, 4-hit shutout in round 1 of the playoffs against the Angels. Wow! Imagine you snag Game 1 against the Indians in round 2. Wow again! Imagine you’re on the mound again facing The Tribe and elimination if your team comes up short.

Proof That We’re Kinda Pouty

I’m writing this at 10:08pm EST. Some of you might note the time and say, “Wait. Isn’t Game 4 of the ALCS on right now? Is Gossip on Sports known for its slightly pro-New England sports teams bent? Why aren’t you watching The Game?”
‘Cause. I’m pouting, OK? The Indians are showing the Red Sox what “using the bats effectively” means. When I shut off the game and left the room, it was 7-0 Cleveland in the bottom of the fifth.
