One of, if not my favorite group of iPhone applications are the remotes. There’s just something that’s really cool about using the iPhone or iPod Touch as a remote. I’ve tried out different remote apps and I’ll be writing about top 3 I like best. This list I’m sure will change over time but as of now this it.

One of the web sites I currently read with regularity is Smashing Magazine. I must say that I enjoy this site a lot and have been learning a lot of things. iPhone 3GS Impressions

I finally got to play with an iPhone 3GS. While the official launch in the Philippines is still slated for the 31st of July, my brother got his hands on a unit from Australia. It just happened that one of my friends bought 2 units and sold the other one. I was supposed to get it but my brother wanted it as well so I gave way to him since I’m still happy with my iPod Touch and Nokia e71 combo.

A friend of mine just got his factory unlocked iPhones. In case you didn’t know, some places such as Hong Kong, Australia, etc. offer iPhones that are factory unlocked. So he got one from Hong Kong. He tried to search YouTube but found no videos showing how an iPhone unlocks itself legitimately. So he posted this video.

Apple unveils iPhone 3Gs, new MacBooks

Apple took the wraps off some high-profile new products at the WorldWide Developer’s Conference in San Jose. Chief among them was the next upgrade in the iPhone, the iPhone 3Gs. The 3Gs is being touted as up to twice as fast as the iPhone 3G,with longer battery life, a 3 megapixel camera with autofocus, video recording, and hands-free voice control. A ton of new capabilities are built into it. The 16 gigabyte iPhone 3Gs retails for $199, with a 32 GB model for $299.
Also today, the iPhone 3G, the last generation 8 GB model, is available for an incredible $99.
