Train Your Dragon iPhone App

Train Your Dragon isn’t just a [yet to be released] movie – now it’s an iPhone app too and on Palm Pre!
If you watched any of the Winter Olympics, you were sure to see several different shorts featuring Train Your Dragon characters taking part in various activities [including creating snow boarding]. Though the game doesn’t hit theaters until March 26th, you can get a tiny taste of the sure-to-be-hit with this mobile game from Glu Mobile.
The story is based on the game itself and the “game immerses players in the unique environments from the film as they explore the treacherous …read more

China Town Wars Coming to iPhone

Grand Theft Auto: China Town Wars is coming to the iPhone.
Excited?
It first came out for the DS and it will be out for the PSP in late October. Now, it’s been announced that China Town Wars will be coming to the iPhone and iPod Touch this fall.
That’s exciting, right?
Now, you don’t have to wait until you get home to slap some hoes and steal some cars.
CNET points out an interesting contradiction in Apple’s App store policies since in the past, Apps have been rejected due to curse words and other “lewd” content. However, Krapps reported on a disturbing App …read more

Good bye, Sega. Hello, Ngmoco.

Good bye, Sega. Hello, Ngmoco.
Well, that’s what Simon Jeffrey is saying anyway. The [now former] President and COO of Sega has been snatched up by the iPhone/iPod Touch game maker Ngmoco to be their Chief Publishing Officer [CPO?].
Ngmoco makes games like Rolando, Stardefense and Word Fu. Not only have their games been wildly popular but from their website:
We’re commissioning, financing & publishing games with micro-studios & independent developers.
So, not only are they big time, but they are asking to work with the “little guys” and I think that’s freakin’ sweet. I have nothing but respect for a company who is …read more

Sim 3 for iPhone Screenshots

So maybe you’ve heard of the Sims franchise?
It’s only the best selling PC game OF ALL TIME.
First there was The Sims and then The Sims 2 with all of its nifty expansion packs. Now, The Sims 3 is set to hit stores in six days on the Mac and PC AND the iPhone.
Below are four screenshots for the iPhone and they look pretty freakin’ good for an iPhone game. Compared to the cost of the PC and Mac versions, the iPhone version will most likely cost around $10 like other iPhone games and is a heck of a steal.

Rolando for iPhone and iPhone Touch Tomorrow!

A pretty sweet game is coming to the Apple App Store tomorrow.
Rolando brings four worlds and 36 levels to your phone for the rather low price of $9.99. I say low price because 36 levels is a HUGE game especially for a phone app and if you consider that people routinely pay over $30 for a crappy DS game that has half the levels then you can see how I can call $10 for a phone game cheap.
The game works by you moving your phone so that you can move the “rolandos” around the screen. I …read more

EA Developing for the iPhone

EA is developing 9 titles for the iPhone, as spotted in this news item, adding up to the three that were already released in the market. This just show EA’s confidence in the Apple gadget and it wasn’t the first. They were also the same company who brought the first iPod games.
