Since we began writing about It’s Just Lunch 2 years ago, we’ve received only negative consumer comments.

In July, 2007, the New York Attorney General’s Office settled against the nationwide dating service It’s Just Lunch International and its three New York State franchises for exceeding the limit a consumer can be charged for social referral services. (FranchisePick.Com) Hell hath no fury like a woman who paid $1500 and didn’t even get scorned. These seriously peeved New York women could inspire a whole new wave of reality shows: Flip These Desperate Housewives. Or Dog, The Booty Hunter. Maybe even No Sex in the City!

Back in February, 2007, we wrote about the It’s Just Lunch Dating Service franchise, asking if It’s Just Lunch… Or Just a Franchise Scam?
According to a good post on The BizOpp News, the New York Attorney General’s Office believes it’s the latter.  According to the post, the nationally franchised dating service It’s Just Lunch International and three of its New York franchisees have settled an action brought by the New York Attorney General for charging customers more for social referral services than allowed by state law.
