Seinfeld to Be Leno’s First Guest

It’s always important to get a new show off to a good start so I think it’s great that Jerry Seinfeld has agreed to be the first guest on Jay Leno’s new show.
The former late-night talk show host makes the jump to primetime next month with The Jay Leno Show when it premieres on September 14, 2009.  I don’t know what to expect, really, but I’m assuming it’s going to be similar to The Tonight Show.
As if that’s not enough star power, Leno has some pretty amazing musical guests for the series opener which will feature performances by Kanye West, …read more

Jay Leno To Showcase Cars on New Show

If you’ve ever been interested in seeing all the many cool cars that Jay Leno has, you might be interested in checking out his new show.  The soundstage is being built to accommodate his expensive cars and he plans to even drive them onto the stage on some nights.

If you’re like me, you might be wondering how NBC could accomplish this since they would need a LOT of space.  Apparently, Leno’s upcoming 10pm show will be taped on Stage 11 which is actually bigger than the garage where he stores his collection.  It’s got to be massive because that structure …read more

Jay Leno Says Goodbye to “Tonight Show”

Last night, Jay Leno sat behind the desk as the host of The Tonight Show for the last time.  In most ways, the episode that ended his 17-year-run was just like any other Leno show but there was a long ovation of him at the start of his monologue during which he thanked some newsmakers (including Michael Jackson and Monica Lewinsky) for making his job so easy over the years.  He even talked about cleaning out his office and said: “I found O.J.’s knife. I had it the whole time.”

Leno’s first guest ever, Billy Crystal, surprised him and, in addition …read more

Jay Leno’s time as the host of The Tonight Show is quickly coming to an end and the comedian has announced the final guests scheduled to sit across from him on the famous set.  The show will be turned over to fellow late-night talk show host, Conan O’Brien on June 1, 2009.
Here is the lineup:

Monday, May 25: Mel Gibson (21st appearance)
Tuesday, May 26: Arnold Schwarzenegger (he announced he was running for governor on the show back in 2003)
Wednesday, May 27: Comedian Wanda Sykes (25th appearance)
Thursday, May 28: Billy Crystal (Leno’s first guest ever)
Friday, May 29: Conan O’Brien

New Leno Show May Not Be Aired

As you probably know, Jay Leno is leaving the Tonight Show (he will be replaced by talk show host, Conan O’Brien, later this year) but he doesn’t want to leave television all together (in fact, I’ve heard countless rumors about how he changed his mind but NBC had already given Conan a contract).
Now, with a 10pm variety-type show planned, many NBC affiliates are unsure about whether they will even broadcast the show.  How’s that for loyalty? Boston’s WHDH is actually considering running their local news in that timeslot rather than give Leno a chance.
I can understand the hesitation, though.  Advertising …read more

How Much Do you Know about the Olympics?

How much do you know about the Olympic Games? I’m sure it’s more than these people that comedian Jay Leno interviewed on the streets around Los Angeles know. Their answers are amusing, however.
