Video: Jeff Fisher Press Conference

Jeff Fisher, the longtime coach of the Tennessee Titans franchise, recently held a press conference to publicly remember Steve McNair. During McNair’s playing days, Fisher was the only coach he knew. Watching the Jeff Fisher video, you can observe the close bond the two men shared.
In the video, Fisher urges everyone to look past the circumstances surrounding McNair’s death and focus on the good parts of his life — his playing days, his dedication to the community and his eternal helping hand. While Fisher apologized for McNair and said that McNair probably made a mistake near the end of his …read more

Vince Young Wants to Play

Jeff Fisher, the head coach of the Tennessee Titans, has made it clear that Kerry Collins is the starting quarterback. For Vince Young to start for the Titans at quarterback, he’d have to beat out Collins during the offseason and during the exhibition season.
Recently, Young upped the ante with his comments to a Baltimore television station. Instead of sounding like a player ready to play his best to win the starting gig, Young sounds more like a player who is ready to give an ultimatum.
Said Young to WMAR-TV in Baltimore: “I definitely want to get back out there playing ball …read more

Fisher: Vince Young Has to Win Job Back

Jeff Fisher, the head coach of the Tennessee Titans, made it clear that Vince Young won’t simply be given his starting quarterback job back. Instead, Young is going to have to show a commitment to improving and the burden is on him to earn the starting gig back. Until then, Kerry Collins will continue to start at quarterback.
Young has underwhelmed ever since a strong rookie campaign in 2006. In his sophomore season with Tennessee, Young had 17 interceptions to go with only nine touchdown passes. Last year, Young started three games before losing the starting role to Collins. In his …read more

Game Of The Week — Week 16

Every week throughout the 2008-2009 football season I am going to pick a “Game of the Week.”
The purpose of this post is to talk about a match-up that I think is the most significant out of all the scheduled NFL games that are going to be played the following Sunday.
After looking at the schedule, my pick for the Game of the Week is …

The Same Old Adam “Pacman” Jones

Pacman Jones may have changed his name back to Adam Jones, but he needs to do a bit more in order to change his overall personality and habits.
A mere name change isn’t going to be enough. And that was proven yesterday when the Dallas Cowboyscornerback was suspended from the NFL yet again.
Jones was suspended for violating the league personal conduct policy … really? Really? Adam Jones? The guy who cut his hair to emphasize just how much he had really changed.
It seems that old habits die hard. According to Yahoo! Sports, only six weeks after being reinstated from …read more

Vince Young Is Not M.I.A.

Friends, family and the Titans organization itself were concerned about the fact that Vince Young had gone “absent with out leave” for a mere four hours.
According to ESPN, “Young abruptly left his home in Williamson County at around 7 p.m. Monday without his cell phone. Those with him at his home, including family members, were “concerned with his emotional well-being.”
The Nashville Metro Police even issued a bulletin.
Relax everyone, relax. Vince Young is OK. He returned to the practice facility and spoke briefly to Jeff Fisher. Since Young was ferociously booed on Sunday after playing poorly and throwing an interception, …read more
