Looks Like Nash Made The Right Decision

Steve Nash came under scrutiny in the off-season when he re-signed with the floundering Phoenix Suns. The two-time NBA MVP figured that he owed the Suns that much. He was with them when they were up, why wouldn’t he stick with them when they were down?
“I was a free agent and it was natural to explore my options,” Nash said, according to ESPN.com. “Some people said I was a little crazy going back to Phoenix because I wouldn’t have as good a chance to win. I liked the team and coaches and I was comfortable.”

Jonny Flynn Chances The NBA

Jonny Flynn, the quick-footed point guard from Syracuse, has hired an agent. This basically means it’s NBA or bust. Once college players hire an agent officially, they forgo the rest of their college career.
Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim wasn’t the least bit surprised.  According to ESPN.com he said, “. We hate to lose him, but the opportunity that he has and will take advantage of I think is tremendous. It’s a lot of money and it’s hard to not take. He’s been great for us and we wish him nothing but the best.”

What’s worse than losing because Cleveland State hit a shot from behind halfcourt at the buzzer? How about going into the post-game press conference and hearing the worst noise on the planet?
That’s what Jim Boeheim, the coach of Syracuse, had to deal with. And if you watch the Boeheim video at the end of this entry, you’ll see that he didn’t handle it too gracefully. He tried to manage for a while before unleashing a slap to the face of the microphone.
