Joba Chamberlain Guilty of Drunken Driving

Joba Chamberlain, the young pitcher for the New York Yankees with the high ceiling, plead guilty to drunken driving in the state of Nebraska. On Wednesday, he was fined and put on probation. The other charge he was facing for having an open alcohol container was dropped.
The incident occurred in October in the city of Lincoln. Tests showed that Chamberlain had a .13% blood alcohol level when he was pulled over. Nebraska’s legal blood alcohol limit is .08%.

Over the weekend, Joba Chamberlain of the New York Yankees was arrested on suspicion of DUI, having an open container and for speeding. Chamberlain was in his home state of Nebraska when he was arrested.
Chamberlain entered the 2008 baseball season as the setup man in the bullpen for the Yankees. After New York suffered a number of injuries to their starting rotation, Chamberlain became a starter.
