Prior to the 2009 NFL season, many experts said that Joey Galloway would be a great fit on the New England Patriots. Galloway’s speed was supposed to be a good fit to go with Brady’s arm. Wes Welker, the possession receiver for the New England Patriots, missed the team’s Week 2 game against the New York Jets. Although the team hasn’t released much information, Welker’s absence has been blamed on a knee injury.
For Week 3, Welker apparently thinks he will play — according to a report on ESPN.com. That said, Welker didn’t practice on Wednesday, which is a definite sign that he’s not completely healthy.
