The Los Angeles Lakers have decided to let Jordan Farmar and Adam Morrison join the growing pool of free agents at the end of the 2009 -2010 season.
It’s no secret that Farmar has had a more successful NBA career than Morrison. Known as a three-point shooter and for his ability to get a rise out of opponents, Farmar wants to have more than just a supporting role on the court. Shannon Brown Inks Deal with Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers acquired Shannon Brown in the middle of the 2008-09 NBA season. He was expected to produce but his energetic play and toughness soon made him a Phil Jackson favorite. On Monday, the Lakers rewarded the free agent with a two-year deal worth slightly more than $4 million.
The deal, which was reported by ESPN.com, will provide guard depth for Los Angeles. With Derek Fisher aging and Jordan Farmar still looking for his niche in the NBA, Brown is a low-risk insurance policy that can pay off big.

Houston, We Have A Problem

Or could the fallen Great Wall be a blessing in disguise?
Devastating news out of Houston tonight (Saturday, May 9th) as Yao Ming will be out for the remainder of the playoffs with a hairline fracture in his left foot.
This is obviously painful for not only Yao but Rocket nation as well. The fans and the players really thought Houston could compete with the Lakers and even possibly beat them. Now it looks like a rather bleak proposition, but I wouldn’t rule Houston out just yet.
Of course Houston is a better team with Yao playing 30+ minutes a game, that’s not the issue.
