MotoGP Building Fan Base

The racers and drivers of the fastest sport on two wheels are on time off, kind of, most are busy traveling around the world to various spots to build support and create more fans for their sport by spending time with the fans. Jorge Lorenzo recently took a trip to Thailand where he was greeted by thousands of fans waiting to get a peak at one of the fastest racers on the planet. He was in Thailand to attend the Yamaha Motor Factory in Bangkok, before taking the time to spend the afternoon at the Yamaha Rider Club in Thailand …read more

Ben Spies Will Debut at Valencia

The 2009 MotoGP season will come to an end this weekend for all classes with a wildcard in the mix that will be someone to watch in the coming years. 2009 World Superbike Champion Ben Spies will be making his debut appearance in the ranks of the world’s fastest sport on two wheels this weekend in the final race of 2009 MotoGP season in Valencia. He’ll be nervous for sure because no matter how successful he was in Superbike, MotoGP is a different ball game. He did have the best rookie season in the history of Superbike though, so if …read more

Valentino Rossi Gracious in Victory

Sports legends are created by desire, passion and ability combining in an individual athlete to produce an athlete that continually rises above the waves of competition to victory despite the small margin between them and their competitors. The willingness to sacrifice body, mind and life in order to be considered among or the best in a chosen sport, isn’t a quality all humans have and I am not sure many of us would live long or be competing for long with this as a common trait. Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo are two athletes with this common trait of being …read more

Valentino Rossi Moves Closer to Title

Casey Stoner won for the third consecutive campaign and continued his dominance on the track of Phillip Island by beating Valentino to the line by 2 seconds Sunday in the Iveco Australian Grand Prix. Casey looked like he was happy to be back on the track after three races off due to fatigue and injury and he was able to celebrate his birthday in style with his third win of the 2009 MotoGP season as he moved into third into the standings. He’s looking good for next year and if he didn’t have so many problems this year, he would …read more

Rossi and Lorenzo Coming Down the Stretch

Phillip Island down under and the Iveco Australian Grand Prix are next on the calendar for the MotoGP this weekend and Fiat Yamaha and team are sitting pretty and fighting over who is going to be the MotoGP Premier Class World Champion. Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo are sitting one-two in the MotoGP premier standings, with Lorenzo 18 points behind Valentino, and Dani Pedrosa 77 points behind Valentino and out of the race for the championship with only 3 races left in the 2009 season.
Rossi finished fourth at Estoril to his team mate Lorenzo’s 1st place finish, but Phillip Island …read more

Jorge Lorenzo Pulls Closer to Rossi

The much anticipated battle between Fiat Yamaha team mates Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi never really materialized as Jorge and Valentino played second fiddle to comeback boy Casey Stoner and his sparkling return to the pavement. Granted track conditions were foggy and cold and this certainly had an effect on the race and the final standings. The same four top racers were standing four aside at the end once again, only with a slightly different arrangement. This time Casey Stoner reasserted his dream of a MotoGP Premier Class World Championship, with a second place finish behind Lorenzo and his fourth …read more

Rossi and Lorenzo Smiling and Racing

Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo are preparing to make their individual runs for the MotoGP Premier Class Individual World Championship. Yamaha is just sitting back and enjoying the show because they win no matter who takes the individual championship. Like a proud parent they may have their favourite but they are classy enough not be making it obvious. Valentino Rossi has always been the racer that I think will eventually close the show, but I am certainly looking forward to a great show on the track at Estoril.
This time of year MotoGP moves back to its more traditional end of …read more

Valentino Rossi Prepares for the Final Push

Valentino Rossi is once again at the front of the MotoGP Premier Class World Championship standings after a season that has been more challenging for this multiple world champion, than previous years. The 2009 MotoGP Premier Class season has been a tough one for Rossi, and he has no illusions as to his chances of staying ahead of hard charging racers like his teammate Jorge Lorenzo, Dani Pedrosa and Casey Stoner, who will return to the MotoGP Premier Class grid in the next round in Portugal, after taking time off to rest and recuperate. All three of these racers have …read more

Valentino Rossi Wins at Milano Again

Valentino Rossi left any doubts about him bouncing back from his DNF in Indianapolis in his dust on the pavement of Milano, Italy Sunday afternoon, by taking his second consecutive win in two years at this Italian circuit with a crowd thrilling ride in the Gran Premio Cinzano di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini. Rossi over came the early lead Dani Pedrosa had due to his quick start and then vaulted ahead of Pedrosa and his teammate Jorge Lorenzo, who was in pursuit of the two front runners. Lorenzo was able to get past Dani Pedrosa after a …read more
