One of the commenters of this video says that Journey wouldn’t be the same without Steve Perry. He goes on saying that Arnel is a copycat. Go ahead and listen to Steve and Arnel and you’ll see how better Arnel is. Arnel has done a tremendous job filling in for the big hole left by their vocalist. Arnel Pineda is a Filipino who lived most of his life in low-key struggling as an artist performing in small bars and restaurants. In June 2007, someone sent Neal Schon of the legend band “Journey” a YouTube link of Arnel singing one of their songs — Survivor.
