While the 2009 NBA Draft was regarded as one of the weakest drafts in recent memory, there were a few steals along the way. Here’s a look at some of the best steals of the draft:
DeJuan Blair, San Antonio Spurs
When the draft process first began, DeJuan Blair was regarded as a lottery pick. But then a look at his knees scared off a number of teams and tumble down all the way to the Spurs at pick number 37. He should be a fantastic fit in San Antonio.
Danny Green, Cleveland Cavaliers

The Washington Huskies are playing pretty good right now. A 6-1 conference record and a gratifying W over UCLA on Saturday has some folks starting to talk about this team. Even I’ve noticed. Save a few bad efforts earlier in the season against Portland and Kansas, the Huskies are playing some of the best basketball out of anyone. Of course workhorse Jon Brockman is probably the most notable player. This 6′7 double-double machine goes about his business with a swag that’s noticeable, yet calming. Fellow senior Justin Dentmon is really shooting the rock …read more

I can’t make this stuff up.
Just the other day a question was posed on Yahoo! Answers asking the following,
“Rate the following College Players in terms of their “pro-potential”, you can even compare 2 current NBA plyrs?
*Luke Harangody
*Stephon Curry
*Tyler Hansborough
*Drue Holiday
*Blake Griffin”
Alright I say, fair enough. Sure the dweeb can’t spell T-Rex’s name correctly and has not yet been corrected for referring to Jrue Holiday as ‘Drue’, but he has managed to correctly identify 5 of the best players in college hoops right now.
Let’s check out a particular response,
From Nick C.,
Luke Harangody: Matt Harpering. Both are built tough and …read more

Who knew that both USC and UCLA would both suffer upsets on the same night?
The fourth ranked Bruins were shown up by the Michigan Wolverines 55-52 in the semifinals of the 2K Sports Classic benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer at Madison Square Garden in New York City a few minutes ago.
Junior forward DeShawn Sims led all scorers with 18 points for Michigan and teammate Manny Harris was held to just 15.
Darren Collison and freshman Jrue Holiday had 13 points each for UCLA. Collison missed a three-pointer with five seconds to go that sealed the win for the Wolverines.

In a few hours, UCLA and Michigan will face off in the first semifinal of 2K Sports Classic benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
The Bruins are ranked fourth in the nation in both the ESPN/Coaches and Associated Press polls, while Michigan is unranked.
UCLA is being touted for having the best recruiting class in the nation, lead by McDonald’s All-American Jrue Holiday.
But don’t let the youth fool you. The Bruins are also a solid veteran team led by Preseason All-American Darren Collison, Josh Shipp, James Keefe and Alfred Aboya.
UCLA reached the semis by defeating Prairie …read more

YouTube can be quite a helpful tool. But it can be a prime spot for procrastination as well. I was trotting along in YouTube land not too long ago and came to the conclusion that some videos of the best incoming 2008 college recruits should be found. So here are three videos I found to be highly entertaining and relevant.
First off, future Buckeye B.J. Mullens. B.J. is a legitimate 7 footer. Just think if Koufus comes back to Columbus? Though it’s not likely to happen.
scout.com had this to say about Mullens
