If you’ve been browsing the Internet these past few days, then you may have chanced upon the new “multiplayer” video for Killzone 2, which was shown over at the Leipzig Games Convention. There has been talk regarding its authenticity, since it all sounds manufactured.

Killzone 2 to arrive in second half of 2008?

Three Speech is a semi-official means of communication for the PlayStation. That means a lot of what the blog has to say is marketing fluff, but if you look more closely, there could be some interesting news every so often.
So when the blog off-handedly mentions the launch date of Killzone 2 in a lengthy post, you should pay more attention because it’s the closest thing you could get for legitimate news. For now, at least.

Killzone 2 videos get compared

Last 2005, a video of Killzone 2 was shown at E3, and was criticized for looking too good. Because of this, pundits argued that the video didn’t show actual gameplay footage. Fast forward two years later. Guerilla Games, the sequel’s developer, has come out with another video for this year’s E3. Have a look at a comparison between the two:

Aside from the obvious gameplay footage inserted at parts of the video, everything seems to look the same (i.e. fantastic). The comparison also showed the eye candy we’ll be treated to when playing the game, so look closely.
