Bas Rutten: “I have zero respect for Kimbo”
June 20, 2009 by Ryan Harkness

As Kimbo Slice attempts to rekindle his guttered career on the Ultimate Fighter, he’ll have to do it without the support of his former coach and all around crazy person Bas Rutten. Back when Slice was the untested star of the EliteXC promotion, Bas was one of the few legitimate and respected mixed martial artists who were talking him up, calling him a talented newcomer who’d do big things if he kept working hard.
Unfortunately, Bas Rutten claims that around the time of the Ken Shamrock fight, Kimbo stopped listening to him and actually started to get worse. Here’s what he …read more

Those debating how well Kimbo Slice will do on the Ultimate Fighter haven’t had much information to work with one way or the other. Without knowing who he’s going up against, how can you assume he’s going to fail or succeed? But now the full 16 heavyweight roster for the Ultimate Fighter 10 has been sniffed out, and rather than try to speculate on their skill level, I’m just going to order them from most intriguing to least:
Kimbo Slice: Mr Youtube Sensation himself, Kimbo Slice took Dana White up on his challenge to get into the UFC via the Ultimate …read more

In the world of mixed martial arts, there’s no doubt that Kimbo Slice is the most controversial figure in the sport. Either you are a big fan or you despise him.
Although he hasn’t fought since October when he lost, expect to see much more of Kimbo Slice. It was recently announced that he’ll be on The Ultimate Fighter — the popular reality television series on Spike.
MMA fans were already excited after it was announced that Rashad Evans and Rampage Jackson were going to be coaches in the tenth season of The Ultimate Fighter. Now with Kimbo Slice added to the …read more
Bas Rutten Speaks On The Kimbo Slice Issue
January 19, 2009 by Scott Wharton
Kimbo Slice has got a lot of flack since his debut in to professional MMA. As a headliner at Elite XC events with very few pro MMA fights under his belt, he drew a lot of verbal abuse from other MMA fighters and fans. I’ve even said a few words about him here, but after reading a segment in the latest Tapout Magazine, I feel that perhaps I was wrong to judge and talk badly about the man.
You have to think about it this way. On Youtube Kimbo Slice was a bad-ass street fighter for quite a few years …read more
Ken Shamrock…Still Relevant?
December 17, 2008 by Scott Wharton

Is Ken Shamrock still a relevant MMA fighter? Before I get started let me first say that I’m not picking on Ken and I know I’m not the first person to raise this question, but his track record has fallen greatly in the last three years. He’s lost all 5 of his last fights all in the first round and was scratched from his last main event fight in the last Elite XC fight with Kimbo Slice.
At 44 years old, Shamrock is still in great physical condition. MMA Junkie reports that Ken is set to fight in a co-promoted …read more
Quick Update On ProElite Auction
November 5, 2008 by Scott Wharton

MMAJunkie.com reports that the auction for ProElite will happen in Los Angeles later this month and all "tangible and intangible assets". Unfortunately or maybe not, this includes contracts of the fighters currently signed to EliteXC.
The sale will include contracts with a number of EliteXC fighters, including Kevin "Kimbo Slice" Ferguson, Gina Carano, Jake Shields, Robbie Lawler, Frank Shamrock and many others.
I expect Kimbo to take a huuuuge pay cut. Maybe we’ll see him on season 10 of The Ultimate Fighter, but that’s highly unlikely. Dana white has expressed interest in Jake Shields and I wish WEC or UFC could …read more

Does anyone really want to see this? The answer is YES. Everyone want sto see this. Every Non-fan of Kimbo Slice wants to see this because they want to see if the outcome is the same as last time.

Kimbo Slice could be headed to Japan for "Dynamite!! 2008" on New Year’s Eve, possibly for a rematch against Seth Petruzelli.

Kimbo Slice Earned 500K…And Lost
October 8, 2008 by Scott Wharton

Kimbo Slice earned 500,000 dollars in his loss the other night to Seth Petruzelli. FIVE-HUNDRED-THOUSAND! But get this…Seth Petruzelli, the ladt minute fighter that beat him in 14 seconds…only earned 50K. Kind of ass-backwards if you ask me, but that’s what was in their salary contract before the fight even took place. Granted, 50K is more than most fans that watch Elite XC earn in a year, but I think he should have been awarded a bigger chunk of the change.
What’s funny is that people kept saying that Slice didn’t have a whole lot of cage credibility and if …read more
Seth Petruzelli May Have Ko’d CBS’s Elite XC
October 5, 2008 by Scott Wharton

Seth Petruzelli’s win last night over hyped and undefeated street-fighter Kimbo Slice may have just KO’d CBS’s Elite XC. As their cash cow, Kimbo was not expected to lose last night…but he did and now things aren’t looking very credible for Elite XC. It’s ok with me though. I have yet to be able to watch Elite XC and really be in to it, especially after so many people called BS on Kimbo’s last win. Dan Wetzel at Yahoo! Sports said it’s "Final Curtain For The Kimbo Show", here are a few excerpts from Wetzel’s report:
It came crashing down …read more
