Giants Lose Again, This Time to Chargers

Not long ago, the New York Giants were regarded by many as the best team in the NFL. However, things have definitely changed. With a 21-20 loss in Week 9 against the San Diego Chargers, the Giants have now lost four straight games.
Entering the fourth quarter, the Giants trailed 14-7. Then, they got hot. Lawrence Tynes hit two field goals and Eli Manning had a TD strike to tight end Kevin Boss. But with 21 seconds remaining in the game, Philip Rivers connected with Vincent Jackson to give the Chargers the the one-point win.

LaDainian Tomlinson Injury Update

LaDainian Tomlinson, the future Hall of Fame running back for the San Diego Chargers, sprained his ankle during the team’s Week 1 contest against the Oakland Raiders. On Wednesday, Tomlinson was sporting a protective boot.
While a protective boot usually signals a serious injury, Tomlinson doesn’t sound too concerned.
“I’ve had it before,” explained Tomlinson. “It’s very common.”
Last season, Tomlinson rushed for 1,110 yards and scored 11 touchdowns. He also had 52 receptions for 426 yards and a touchdown.

Charger Fans Taking Over the ‘Hood

It just so happens that The Bee and I are staying in Boston this weekend.*
And so are a whole lot of San Diego Chargers fans, gearing up for today’s AFC Championship game against the New England Patriots.
We checked into the Westin Copley and it. Was. Packed. There was actually a line at check-in and the valet garage is full.
