Lance Berkman Headed to the Disabled List

The Houston Astros have been one of the hottest teams in the National League as of late. However, now they’ll need to remain hot with one of their best players headed to the disabled list.
Lance Berkman, arguably the best hitter on the team, will be placed on the disabled list due to a calf strain on his left leg.
The 33-year-old native of Texas is currently hitting .273 with 18 homers, 55 RBIs and 50 runs. He also has six steals and a .407 on-base percentage. With two more home runs, Berkman will have hit at least 20 homers for the …read more

With the start of a new year, many people make New Year’s Resolutions – things they want to do, things they want to stop doing, places they want to go, people they want to meet, and so forth.
For me, one of my New Year’s Resolutions has absolutely nothing to do with college basketball. It has to do with my true love – baseball.
