Kurt Warner had offseason surgery to repair a hip injury. Despite the injury that bothered him for much of the 2008 NFL campaign, Warner was able to lead the Arizona Cardinals to the Super Bowl before falling to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Warner, who received a $23 million contract from the Cardinals earlier in the offseason, is already back in action. The Anquan Boldin trade scenarios became more realistic on Wednesday when Arizona Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt admitted that the team is listening to trade offers for the talented wide receiver. While the two sides are working on a new contract, reports indicate that the negotiations haven’t progressed beyond the initial stage.
The Cardinals made the Super Bowl last season but Boldin has been unhappy since the beginning of last year. Boldin’s unhappiness seems to stem from Larry Fitzgerald, a fellow wide receiver on the Cardinals, getting a $40 million contract and Boldin not being offered a similar deal.
