Nike — along with Beijing Olympic Decathalon Gold Medalist Bryan Clay; and NFL players Adrian Peterson, Larry Fitzgerald and Troy Polamalu; and NBA All-Stars Brandon Roy and Amar’e Stoudemire — introduced the Nike Trainer 1 today. The shoe is actually a blast from the past. It’s inspired by the popular Nike Air Trainer worn by Bo Jackson and John McEnroe 20 years ago.

Kurt Warner Active in Cardinals Minicamp

Kurt Warner had offseason surgery to repair a hip injury. Despite the injury that bothered him for much of the 2008 NFL campaign, Warner was able to lead the Arizona Cardinals to the Super Bowl before falling to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Warner, who received a $23 million contract from the Cardinals earlier in the offseason, is already back in action. Taking part in the Cardinals recent minicamp, Warner put in some light work that left head coach Ken Whisenhunt impressed. Anquan Boldin Trade Rumors Heating Up

The Anquan Boldin trade scenarios became more realistic on Wednesday when Arizona Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt admitted that the team is listening to trade offers for the talented wide receiver. While the two sides are working on a new contract, reports indicate that the negotiations haven’t progressed beyond the initial stage.
The Cardinals made the Super Bowl last season but Boldin has been unhappy since the beginning of last year. Boldin’s unhappiness seems to stem from Larry Fitzgerald, a fellow wide receiver on the Cardinals, getting a $40 million contract and Boldin not being offered a similar deal.
