Dumbell clean and press – take a pair of dumbells in your hand while bent at the waist. The dumbells will be in front of your knees. Then explode the dumbells into a tricep extension position while you straighten your back. In this second phase, your just trying to get your shoulders under the weight. Your arms shouldn’t be doing any work besides holding them. Finally, press the weights overhead.

T pushup – Do a regular pushup holding dumbells. Once you are all the way up, take one dumbell and lift it towards the ceiling while keeping the other dumbell at its position. Come down and repeat.

Cross situps with dumbell – Get in situp psoition with your feet crossed and slightly elevated off the floor. Rotate side to side with a small weight in a smooth, but quick motion.

Lunge & curl – I’ve mentioned this before as part of my workout. Just lunge then curl. Works for both forward and reverse lunges. Below are some really good looking lunges. Add a pair of dumbells, taper the speed a shade and you’ll be good to go.

Even if you’re a hardcore lifter who’s constantly burning calories and lifting for muscle mass, you still need to filter what you eat. Let’s say you’re 6′3” 200 lbs and you’re ready to jump to 235 thus making it weight packing time. You don’t just want to down everything in front of you. Instead, you want to enhance a healthy diet in prorated form.

sxc.hu

This way you’re more efficiently building and fueling your muscle. You will experience better gains in muscle mass and strength. I have been eating along the lines of less lean. Although I’ve packed on more power and muscle, I’m also getting bulky because of fatty foods instead of getting leaner like I want to. This is something you must fight if you gain weight easily like I do. It’s difficult because as you increase your workouts your body naturally wants more food.

To fight the weight gain, remember to supplement your desire to consume with lean, high protein items like fat free cottage cheese, milk, and chicken breast.
