The LEGO series of video games are a serious guilty pleasure of mine. Sure, you can pick up the real versions of the games but will your characters explode into a million LEGO pieces every time he gets hit? Yeah, I didn’t think so.

While I think my favorite was LEGO Batman, the first LEGO Indiana Jones was almost tied so I’m pretty excited about the sequel. LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues comes out next month but you can pre-order it now!

I love that the games are like a satirical version of the films and this one will include Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Build Your Own Adventure Mode looks like a lot of fun since, for the first time, players will get to create their own levels and environments brick by brick. These original levels can be fused in with the ones from the game so that players can enjoy a custom experience. Pretty sweet!

Play as a variety of characters from the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull including Mutt Williams on his motorcycle. I’m interested in seeing what that’s like with LEGO. Additional characters (60 in total!) can be unlocked by collecting artifacts throughout the game.

Indy also has some new tricks up his sleeve. He can grab enemies with his whip and throw them over his shoulder and he can use his favorite accessory to unlock puzzles and foes.

I’m definitely planning on picking up a copy of this game!

LEGO Rock Band Coming to Everything

LEGO anything is cute. Let’s just get that straight right now. You could do Kill Bill and do it with LEGOs and it would be cute. Granted, it would be cute with a butt ton of blood but cute, nonetheless.

So after LEGO Batman, LEGO Indiana Jones, and Lego Star Wars [1, 2 and 3] NOW, we have LEGO Rock Band. Oh yeah, I said it. LEGO Rock Band.

Can you get much better than that?

I think not.

LEGO Rock Band is set to be released this year.

Yahtzee Lego Indiana Jones Review – Good or Bad?

I must admit that I’ve never played a Legos game before. I’m not a huge Star Wars fan and just couldn’t see myself spending the cash on the game. But now, I’m offered Lego Indiana Jones and very soon I’ll have the chance to play Lego Batman. Those are two franchises that I enjoy. [Raiders of the Lost Ark, the 1989 Batman and Batman Begins are the best thus far...I'm still waiting on Dark Knight.]

Anywho, I shall reserve judgment on Lego Indiana Jones until I’ve played it and give you Yahtzee’s review of said game. It wasn’t such a scathing review that it turned me off to the game. If you’ve played Lego Indiana Jones, let me know how close he is to hitting the ole nail on the head.
