Where do you draw the line between opinon and defemation & libel? Model Liskula Cohen is asking a New York court to force Google to reveal the identity of the anonymous blogger behind “Skanks in NYC“.
The site is composed of exactly five posts, all aimed at snarking at Cohen, with images that had to have come from friends or friends of friends. Suing Google for something Google didn’t do

Yeah, you read that right. A professor from Bemidji State University wrote something about a local journalist. That journalist felt that the article was defamatory, and so in a stunning display of logic, that journalist decided to take Google to court. For $50 billion dollars.
Not surprisingly, the judge told said journalist to get the hell out of the court and stop wasting his time.

UK Judge Awards 17,000L to Facebook Victim

This may be the first – or at least one of the first – successful lawsuits that centres on a fake Facebook profile.
A judge in the UK has awarded 17,000 pounds (approximately $35,000 USD) in damages for Libel after a former school friend put up a fake Facebook profile and claimed his former chum was on the prowl for same sex relationships, and the infamous “whatever I can get”. [source]
The man who put the profile up in the first place has held a grudge against his ‘victim’ since they had a falling out in 2000.
