Most college basketball (myself included) fans would love to see him back at Davidson. I think there’s something to be said for those players who finish what they started, get their degree, develop as a player and then make the leap. Curry’s draft stock wouldn’t drop if he returned to school. But if he feels as though he has done all he can do at the college basketball level, he’ll most likely make the jump.

Stephen isn’t the only Curry with a big decision on his plate. His brother, Seth (who is just as gifted in his own right) is leaving Liberty after only one year. Seth was quote by SI.com saying he would like to “take advantage of new opportunities that may be available to him in a higher-rated conference.”

What school wouldn’t be interested in picking him up? Seth was the nation’s leading freshman scorer, averaging 20.2 points.

I’d love it if both of them united at Davidson for Stephen’s last hurrah. But maybe that’s just wishful thinking.

Where Will Team Curry End Up

Let’s remind everybody that this is a college hoops site. We clear?

Alright, so Samford came back in the second half and put up 16 on the board. Grand total of 22 points in the bag for the Bulldogs.

The Friday brothers, certainly you’ve heard of them, had a rough go of it.

The good news… Samford assisted on 7 of 9 field goals.

Otherwise…

Savannah State gave Michigan quite a fight and, to my surprise when I encountered the live stream of this game late in the 2nd half, actually led by 20 at halftime. Michigan reversed the difference in the 2nd half, sending the game into overtime.

STAT of the DAY

Liberty’s Seth Curry, younger brother of Stephen, played the entire 50 minutes of Liberty’s double overtime victory against William & Mary. Seth scored 13 of his game total 21 in the 2 overtime frames.

CLUTCH sure runs in the fam!!

Mississippi Valley State: You have company

–Stephen Curry LAUNCHED 15 three’s against the Sooners yesterday in a 4 point defeat. He only made 6 of them. Taking 29 shots to score 44 points isn’t the type of efficiency a team looks for from their PG.

–Bryant Barr had a lousy game, only connecting on 1-9 field goals.

–Davidson showed their explosiveness for sure. Oklahoma had a 21 point lead and in a blink of an eye Davidson had it down to 7. It was a very entertaining game to say the least, even if I was reminded of my blah high school b-ball days of actually driving past a defender (rare) to only then absolutely brick an 10 foot floater. I’m talking about you Bryant Barr.

–Blake Griffin scored 25 and pulled down 21 boards. Brother Taylor contributed quite a bit too, scoring 16. Willie Warren looked like a stud, some kind of Baron Davis, Anthony Morrow hybrid.

–Indiana squeaked by IUPUI 60-57. Indiana led by 11 at halftime against the cupcake half-brother.

– The Friars of Providence out gunned the Dartmouth… hold on… Big Green. And Friar Blog just wants to be able to watch his friggin team play some basketball.

STAT of the DAY

Seth Curry, Liberty guard and younger brother of Stephen Curry, led the team in scoring with 18, but did so on 17 shots from the field. Liberty got bit by UNC-Asheville 84-56.

North Dakota State doubles up opponent
