Those who know me well, and who have known me for the past few years, know that this is not my “happiest time of the year” (for me, that’s summertime…. give me heat, give me sunshine!!)….*cough* sorry…. I got distracted. Right, where was I?

Our windows are floor to ceiling, with a view that extends across the west end of the city, hitting the lake and on the clearest of days even a little bit of New York state. From the 31st floor, we have a bit of selection as to how much city noise we get – windows closed…it’s peaceful. Open them up…ahhh, sirens, traffic and occasionally the sound of a bagpipe (yes – seriously).
