Telltale Games is feeling melancholic these days, it seems, as they appear to be looking into the past for future ideas. Developer Dave Grossman dropped a big hint as to the next title that might get a modern makeover: Loom. You remember Loom right? The game was a graphical adventure game that hit the retail shelves back in 1990. Who doesn’t love a fantasy puzzle game?

Regarding this potential revision to the original, Grossman had this to say on the subject:

“The one I always think about these days is Loom actually, and how ahead of its time it was. I think the problem with it at the time was that it was only two and a half hours long and now I find myself deliberately trying to design games that are only two and a half hours long. So I think… well, why not do that?”

Loom fans have reason to celebrate if this title does indeed see itself revised and released in a newer and (perhaps?) better capacity. I’m sure a lot of us feel melancholic about the games we played 10 years ago.

Would you look forward to a new Loom or do you think such games are better left in the past?
