Spanish Team Upset with Davis Cup Location
You can’t please all the people all the time, and a lot of times, it seems like you can’t please hardly anyone any of the time. And right now, it’s the Spaniards who aren’t happy.
Spanish tennis officials chose Madrid as the site for the Davis Cup semifinal with the United States. Players – including Rafael Nadal – had said Madrid was one of the worst locations to choose since the Americans would be benefitted by the high altitude.

Nalbandian Wins, Federer Loses
I don’t know where I was yesterday when the big man fell, but unseeded David Nalbandian stepped up to the plate and chopped down the largest tree in the forest…after taking down the second and third largest trees earlier in the tournament.
Nalbandian won in Madrid by coming from a set down (1-6, 6-3, 6-3) to beat Roger Federer. Nalbandian took out Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic en route to his final showdown with Federer.
This is only the second time a player has beat the top three in the same tournament since Boris Becker in 1994. Pretty sweet deal, aeh?
