Chinese are building Airbuses
Well, part of the plane anyway. There is a final assembly line in Tiajin and it will be open from today officially.
All parts are transported from Europe to China via Hamburg according to Flightglobal.com.
Chinese are coming to aviation markets too like they have done it in many industrial scenes like paper production and clothing. I guess Airbus have noticed that the labor works there many times cheaper than in western countries.
India on airplane majors’ radar
Even as the domestic aviation sector is undergoing a financial crisis, world’s top plane makers are optimistic about the Indian civil aircraft market. Almost all top airplane makers, such as Boeing, Airbus, Bombardier, Gulfstream and Dassault, are expected to showcase their new products in Hyderabad next month. Eurocopter, Bell Helicopter and Cessna are also going to unveil some of their flying machines in the country’s first civil aviation airshow in the IT city.

Unmanned Flight Record for QinetQ’s Zephyr
Unmanned flight record is set for Zephyr. It flew for 82 hours and 37 minutes from the U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground in Arizona.
The previous record for an unmanned flight was 30 hours and 24 minutes. A Northrop Grumman Global Hawk set that record in 2001.
Launched by hand, Zephyr is an ultra-lightweight carbon-fibre aircraft. By day it flies on solar power generated by amorphous silicon solar arrays no thicker than sheets of paper that cover the aircraft’s wings. Boeing Next-Generation 737 Carbon Brakes Earn FAA Certification
Boeing [NYSE: BA] announced that it earned certification last week from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration for its new carbon brakes designed for the Next-Generation 737.
The brakes, supplied by Messier-Bugatti, also entered service last week when Boeing delivered a Next-Generation 737-700 to Delta Air Lines — the first of 10 737-700s the airline will receive over the next several years.
