WWE Backlash took place last night at the 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore, Maryland and two major titles changed hands. In the main event Triple H bested former-champ Randy Orton, John Cena, and JBL to claim the most prestigious title in sports entertainment.Cena opened up the eliminations in the bout, submitting JBL with the STFU before being quickly eliminated by Orton with a punt to the head. After a long one-on-one showdown Triple H pinned Orton with a pedigree to win the title.

The lineup for WWE’s next pay-per-view, Backlash, took serious shape on Monday night during Raw. What was originally booked as JBL vs. Randy Orton for the PPV quickly expanded to a Fatal Four Way as both Triple H and John Cena won matches on Raw against their Backlash opponents to earn spots in the match.

According to the official preview for tonight’s edition of Monday Night Raw on WWE.com Randy Orton’s opponent for the WWE’s next pay-per-view, Backlash, will be announced as soon as Raw goes on the air. John Cena opened up RAW last night adressing just how tough Umaga was but that his win was not a ‘fluke’ as Umaga’s manager Armando Estrada had indicated. Cena indicated he was willing to challenge Umaga again for the championship on RAW until Johnathan Coachman appeared to announce RAW’s newest member, the Great Khali.
So it appears the rumors were true and Khali has indeed moved to RAW. Coachmen stated he was giving Umaga the night off because of his hard work at NYR and that Cena would face the Great Khali in a non-title match instead.
