Britney Spears to Continue with Candie’s

Iconix Brand Group Inc. (parent company of Candie’s) said on Tuesday they will continue their relationship with Britney Spears for Candie’s fall advertising campaign. Spears has served as the face of Candie’s since the spring and so far has been very well received.
Candie’s brand is sold exclusively at Kohl’s. Spears will appear in the fall TV, print and online campaign.
According to The Business Journal, Candie’s outfitted Spears in Candie’s clothes, shoes, jewelry and accessories in her new music video “Radar.” Footage from the video will be part of the brand’s fall TV commercial, which will debut late in the summer. …read more

LG Mobile Phones has partnered with the highly-anticipated summer film Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen to launch a multi-media marketing campaign. The campaign includes an array of different components promoting the LG Versa phone and the film, including a movie-themed microsite at uncoverlg.com.
As part of the campaign, a limited edition version of the new LG Versa phone was created especially to promote the movie. The phone is available through in-store and online promotions. Starbucks is set to launch a new marketing campaign “Real Food. Simply Delicious.” as they revamp their current menu. Their new menu will include a variety of baked good without high fructose corn syrup, artificial flavors or dyes, as well as low-calorie salads, breakfast sandwiches made with egg whites and other healthier options.
The campaign aims to attract the more health-conscious crowd. According to Reuters, the ingredient changes will include taking out the preservatives from most of their baked goods. Some of the new items are a banana walnut bread, a reduced-fat coffee cake and organic blueberry bar.

FedEx is preparing a new marketing campaign that launches Tuesday against federal legislation that could help FedEx employees more easily join a union. And FedEx claims that UPS is a driving force behind the bill that changes which labor act FedEx must operate under.
The bill in question would move FedEx Express from under the Railway Labor Act and instead put it under jurisdiction of the National Labor Relations Act. Recently Dell launched their new marketing campaign and microsite — Della. The campaign aimed to market their new lightweight laptop notebook computer, the Inspiron Mini 10 Netbook, to women. They got the attention of their female audience, but not exactly in the way they wanted.
