]]> playboy-magazine.jpgMediaweek announced the top ten magazine brands of 2007 with an interesting mix of winners.  Of particular importance in the list of hot magazine brands in 2007 were brand extensions.  Mediaweek paid close attention to the strategic promotions, tie-ins and brand extensions that keep the top magazine brands relevant in a fast-paced, everchanging world.

Here are the top ten magazine brands according to Mediaweek for 2007:

  1. Men’s Health
  2. Vogue
  3. Martha Stewart Living
  4. Real Simple
  5. People
  6. Cosmopolitan
  7. InStyle
  8. Food & Wine
  9. Country Living
  10. Playboy

What do you think about Mediaweek’s list of the top magazine brands in 2007?  I was actually very surprised that O, The Oprah Magazine wasn’t included on this list.  If there is a magazine out there that screams brand and remains consistent to that brand’s image and message, it’s Oprah Winfrey’s.  Also, with such a strong online presence that ties into Oprah’s magazine, I would have thought her magazine would be near the top of Mediaweek’s list.
