The alcohol has been sold down in South America since 1994 and in 2009 won the World Spirits Competition Gold Medal Award.

“It is so delicately balanced, no one fruit flavor dominates,” states Tina LoBosco, President of CMSC Spirits. “What makes Love Potion #9® so unique is that it tastes different every time. It’s an unpredictable and exciting spirit that brings out passion and romance when served straight up or added to classic cocktails, like a Mojito, Margarita, Piña Colada, Daiquiri, Martini, Cosmo, or Rum-and-Coke. It can also be used as the base spirit for countless new and exciting cocktail recipes.”

It’s also suggested that you can use it to top ice cream and fruit and though I haven’t tried it, I would love to get my hands on another bottle and some ice cream and sit on the couch with a good movie.

Maybe that’s just me? Doubt it.

I’m on Twitter a lot…probably more than I should be and since becoming the Spirits/Cigar writer for EveryJoe.com I’ve been seeking out alcohol companies with Twitter accounts.
A couple of days ago I found Grey Goose and followed them since I’m a big fan of their vodkas. I received a DM [direct message] from them requesting that I confirm my birth date and then they followed me. So, since they showed me some Twitter love, I figured that I’d show them some cocktail love and feature one of their awesome cocktails.
Without further ado…

A couple of days ago I found Grey Goose and followed them since I’m a big fan of their vodkas. I received a DM [direct message] from them requesting that I confirm my birth date and then they followed me. So, since they showed me some Twitter love, I figured that I’d show them some cocktail love and feature one of their awesome cocktails.

Without further ado…

The Caipiroska

Ingredients:

1 1/4 parts GREY GOOSE® Le Citron Flavored Vodka
1 lime cut into eighths
1 part simple syrup or 1 tsp sugar
club soda or water

Instructions:

In a glass shaker, combine the lime and simple syrup and muddle well. Add the
GREY GOOSE® Le Citron Flavored Vodka and fill with ice. Shake well. Pour ice and
all ingredients into a rocks glass. Top off with more ice if necessary and a splash of
club soda or water. Garnish with lime wedge.

Tips:

This makes a wonderful martini served straight up. Or make unique variations of this
cocktail by using other flavored syrups in place of the simple syrup. For example,
a raspberry syrup might create a summery variation. Alternately, you can add fresh
berries to the limes as you are muddling.

One of the bloggers I’ve been following for some time, and finally got to meet face to face at Blog World Expo, Average Jane, has two yummy sounding martini recipes, and they sounded too good not to share!
Tootsie Roll Martinis
1 cup creamy chocolate liqueur
1 cup Irish cream liqueur
1 cup vanilla vodka
1/2 cup clear chocolate liqueur (optional)
1/4 cup Grand Marnier
Mix together in a pitcher and add ice to chill and provide a little much-needed dilution of the alcohol. Don’t skip the Grand Marnier – it’s the secret ingredient that makes these martinis taste like a Tootsie Roll instead of just chocolate [...]
Post from: EveryJoe

One of the bloggers I’ve been following for some time, and finally got to meet face to face at Blog World Expo, Average Jane, has two yummy sounding martini recipes, and they sounded too good not to share!

Tootsie Roll Martinis

1 cup creamy chocolate liqueur
1 cup Irish cream liqueur
1 cup vanilla vodka
1/2 cup clear chocolate liqueur (optional)
1/4 cup Grand Marnier

Mix together in a pitcher and add ice to chill and provide a little much-needed dilution of the alcohol. Don’t skip the Grand Marnier – it’s the secret ingredient that makes these martinis taste like a Tootsie Roll instead of just chocolate alone. Garnish martini glasses with actual Tootsie Rolls or chocolate syrup-coated rim.

Bomb Pop Martini

DeKuyper Island Blue Pucker
Bacardi Razz Rum
Sweet & sour mix
Grenadine

Mix equal parts of Island Blue Pucker, Bacardi Razz and sweet & sour mix. Shake WELL with ice and pour into martini glass. Then take 1 capful of grenadine and slowly pour down the inside of glass until it settles to the bottom.
