Saints Top Falcons to Stay Undefeated

The New Orleans Saints sure are fun to watch. After trailing 14-7 after the end of the first quarter against the Atlanta Falcons, the Saints came storming back in the second quarter to take a 28-14 halftime lead. Although they struggled at times in the second half, New Orleans was able to stay undefeated after posting a 35-27 victory.
Quarterback Drew Brees finished with 308 passing yards and two touchdowns. Pierre Thomas had 14 carries for 91 yards and a rushing touchdown. He also had a receiving touchdown in the fourth quarter.

You can just hear Matt Ryan saying that. He’s had an amazing season and will likely go as a top 5 draft pick. Yet, his accomplishments have been sidelined with Tim Tebow this and Tim Tebow that. Where was the Matt Ryan love?
Thankfully, the voters from the Manning Award remembered him. Although Tebow is a fantastic player, will he translate to professional football? Probably not. Ryan, on the other hand, stands to have a long and illustrious career in the NFL, as his QBing style more closely fits what pro ball demands.

Rivals.com is holding a fan poll for the Heisman. Personally, I think that it’s too early to get good poll results, but whatever. They also only list five choices, and while these players might be the front runners this week, who knows what will happen this weekend during the games.
