So, I was wrong about Maurice Greene’s making through another round in ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars.” The 34-year-old, former Olympic Golf Medalist (100m and 4×100m in 2000) and his professional dancing partner, Cheryl Burke were voted off after Monday’s show, missing the semi-finals by one episode. Still want to see Maurice dance? He’ll be performing on the “Dancing with the Stars” 37-city tour, which begins December 18.

Just when I thought that Olympian sprinter, Maurice Greene was going to be the next to be eliminated on the ABC reality show, “Dancing with the Stars,” he steps up his game. Last night the two-time Gold Medalist and his professional dancing partner, Cheryl Burke performed the Samba with flair and precision. Greene also performed well in the group dance, the Paso Doble. That performance is featured in the video below. While I don’t think he’s going to win the competition, I do think he’ll be around for a couple of more weeks. Good job Maurice.
Maurice Greene on Dancing with the Stars – Week 7

Our remaining Olympian, Maurice Greene made in through the elimination night in week seven of the ABC reality show, “Dancing with the Stars.” However, I think his days way be numbered unless he picks up his game. The Gold-Medal-winning sprinter’s waltz lacked grace and charisma this week. It’s not his size; the NFL’s Warren Sapp, a much bigger guy, is incredibly light on his feet. The top spot may be up for grabs with front-runner, Brooke Burke injuring her ankle. We’ll just have to see what happens.

Our remaining Olympian, sprinter Maurice Greene has made it to the half-way point on the ABC reality show, “Dancing with the Stars.” He and professional dance partner, Cheryl Burke danced the Salsa, earning a 27 out of 30 from the judges. No video is available of their performance, but there is this spoof of a political ad that for the show with Maurice and Lance Bass.
Next week, the remaining six pairs will learn two dances, one individual performance and a group dance. We continue to wish Maurice well.

With Misty May-Treanor injured, that leaves just one Olympian to vie for the mirror ball trophy on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars”–sprinter, Maurice Greene. Appropriately, the two-time Olympian and dance partner, Cheryl Burke stepped up their game last night with the jive, danced to “Rockin’ round the Clock.” The judges rewarded them with a score of 25, putting them in a tie for second place. I’ll post the video of their dance when it becomes available.

Olympians on Dancing with the Stars – Week Two

Our Olympic pair did pretty well last night on the second week of “Dancing with the Stars.” Misty May-Treanor with her dance partner Maksim did a very respectable and dramatic paso doble, all dressed in black leather. You can watch their routine below:
The other Olympian competing on the show, Maurice Greene was a little less polished, but he should be safe through at least this week’s elimination. Greene and his dance partner, Cheryl Burke danced the rumba. He was a little jerky and seemed to be leering at Cheryl much of the time. Best to keep your mind on the …read more

The two Olympians, Misty May-Treanor and Maurice Greene did very well on the second night of competition on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” last night and both survived the first elimination. Maurice looked smooth dancing a disco-style mambo and Misty shook “what her mama gave her.” Take a look:

Season seven on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” debuted last night. Our two Olympians started solidly. Maurice Greene needs to refine his moves a little to look good in the ballroom. Misty May-Treanor looked amazingly poised on the dance floor for her first effort, but needs to work on looking graceful instead of like the powerful athlete she is. Still, a great effort by the Olympians. Below are the clips of their dances:
“Dancing with the Stars” continues today at 9pm with another dance from each contestant (except the low scorer from night one). Another contestant will be eliminated …read more

Season seven of ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” debuts this evening at 8pm with the first night of the three-night premiere. This season’s contestants include two Olympians: Misty May-Treanor, who won her season beach volleyball Gold Medal in Beijing, and Maurice Greene (pictured above), a sprinter who won two Gold Medals in Sydney in 2000. Treanor is paired with DWTS hearthrob, Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Greene will be dancing with two-time DWTS champion, Cheryl Burke.
Olympians have traditionally done very well on the show. Speed skater, Apolo Anton Ohno won the contest in the fourth season and figure …read more
