We’re nearing the end of the month, with Spring (hopefully!) on its way. Unfortunately, this weeks PlayStation Store updateleaves a lot to be desired. What ever happened to weekly free costumes for LittleBigPlanet? Oh well, read on for today’s headlines:

Patapon 2 has been given an official North American release dateof May 5. Even better, players will soon be able to dress up their Sackboy’s as little Pata people.

Criterion has updated the new Burnout Paradise page, which now includes friends and Twitter support.

This level appears to be heavily inspired by the Castlevania series, as it features a sprawling environment that shifts from dangerous mountain tops, to sub-terranean areas, all the way back up to an incredibly detailed haunted castle. This castle includes all of the prerequisites, including a laboratory, a torture room, and a creepy dining room. Add in a few clever puzzles, and you have one of the best user generated levels I have played so far. It’s long, detailed, and atmospheric. What more could you ask for?

Whew, it’s a busy day in PlayStation news today, so let’s just head straight into the headlines.

Gabranth from Final Fantasy XII will be in the upcoming fighter Dissidia, though in what capacity we still don’t know.

A fresh batch of screens from Resident Evil 5 have been released, and man do they look sweet.

PlayStation Home may not be all that impressive right now, but Sony is taking you suggestions on ways to improve the service.

The PS3 version of Fallout 3 has been patched, and among other things, now supports Trophies.

There are a lot of cool people making a lot of great levels on LittleBigPlanet, and we here at the PlayStation Monger want to recognize their efforts. Take RRR30000 for example. This Japanese developer has come up with some of the most creative and complex levels the in the game. From several side-scrolling shooters (Libidius.Jp and SuperLibius.Jp) to a Tetris clone (Libirius.Jp) and even a version of Dance Dance Revolution (LittleDanceRevolution.Jp), RRR30000’s creations are all familiar, yet bizarre at the same time.
