US Iraq Vets at the Paralympics

Two members of the US Paralympic team are veterans of the Iraq war–Melissa Stockwell (swimming) and Scott Winkler (shot put). In the video below, CBS News talks with both of them about Iraq and their hopes for the Paralympics:

US Paralympian Melissa Stockwell

Melissa Stockwell lost her left leg after she was injured by an IED while serving in the Army in Iraq in 2004. She hasn’t let that slow her down. Since then, she’s competed with able-bodied athletes in various triathlons and will be swimming at the Beijing Paralympic Games in the 400m freestyle and 400m butterfly events. Here’s a look at her story:
