This week’s episode of Dexter was called “Dexter Takes a Holiday” but it’s not the main character who leaves. Rita takes the kids out of town for three days (thank goodness, my patience with her has really run thin) and Dexter takes the opportunity to set up his next kill.
This time, Dexter is trying to figure out whether a local policewoman named Zoe is responsible for the deaths of her family.
Meanwhile, Debra and Lundy continue to try to find a link between the Trinity Killer and some recent Miami murders. Can I just take a quick moment to talk about …read more
Now Playing: “Gamer”

Gamer hit theaters yesterday and I’m not sure how it will fare against the romantic comedy All About Steve but I’m guessing it will attract some curious movie-goers, especially since the cast is fairly impressive and includes Gerard Butler (300) and Michael C. Hall (Dexter).
Last week, I speculated about whether this movie would make people more leery of the gaming community and technology so I’m hoping they present their storyline in a way that isn’t blatantly anti-gaming.
The film takes place in the future and humans are actually the pawns of online gamers who control their actions through mind-control technology. The …read more
“Gamer” Movie Giving Us a Bad Name?

Have you seen the previews for a movie called Gamer? I’m trying to be open-minded, especially since one of my favorite actors is in it (Michael C. Hall from Dexter) but no matter how I look at it, I end up either offended or annoyed.
The film is about a future where gaming and entertainment have been fused into some awful hybrid and, of course, it’s got to be scary as hell. Multi-player online gamers are actual controlling other humans through mind-control technology that has been developed by billionaire, Ken Castle (Hall).
He takes things up a notch by created a first-person …read more

The fourth season of Dexter will begin on September 27, 2009 and I’m extremely excited, especially after seeing some production stills that Showtime has released.
In the photos, we get our first glimpse of Dexter (Michael C. Hall) and Rita’s (Julie Benz) new baby boy, Harrison. He looks about six months old in this picture so I’m guessing we will skip his early infancy but I’m hoping the season will begin with the birth. It would be really interesting to hear what Dexter is thinking as the realization of impending fatherhood hits him.
I’m still wondering how Dexter is going to manage …read more
“Dexter: The Complete Third Season”

The complete third season of Dexter will be released on DVD tomorrow and I highly recommend checking it out. The show follows blood splatter analyst, Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall), who works for the Miami Metro Police Department. He doesn’t smoke or party, he’s well liked, has a great girlfriend and is really good at his job. There’s only one problem – Dexter is a serial killer who operates on a strict moral code.
He kills the dangerous criminals who, somehow, manage to work the system. Instead of going to jail, they’re back out on the streets thinking they’ve gotten away …read more
Dexter Talks Diapers and Serial Killing

I.Am.So.Excited. about the upcoming season of Dexter. I was thrilled to see some videos leaking out of this year’s Comic-Con because I’m extremely curious about how Dexter Morgan’s character is going to change after he becomes a father. How is he going to work in his serial killing. Won’t his new wife, Rita, wonder where he is when she gets up in the middle of the night with the baby?
Dexter star, Michael C. Hall, spilled some goodies: “In the first episode, we see Dexter dealing with the fact that he doesn’t have as much time as he’d like to have. …read more
