The WNBA’s True Impact

There has been a lot of conversation lately revolving around whether or not the WNBA is worth the investment. The league itself is struggling to remain financially viable for the NBA and teams are constantly folding year over year. Another city pops up, willing to take a chance and form an expansion team. Why? If there’s no money to be made, what’s the point?

Wamback Gets Whamed

One sport I am looking forward to watching during the Olympics is women’s soccer. (Sorry guys, they’re just a bit more interesting and talented). But the U.S. women’s team was hit with a blow last night (no pun intended) when their star player, Abby Wamback (who’s from Rochester, NY which is only about an hour away from my home town of Buffalo) went down with an injury.
