When Michigan plays Notre Dame, it’s usually not a bigger deal than any other game of the year. It’s not like they’re bff, but Michigan’s primary hatred is centered on Ohio State, and Notre Dame had much bigger rivalries with USC, Purdue, and Boston College. Historically, Michigan and Notre Dame are rivals, but not to extent that they are with other teams. This year, though, both team marked this game on their schedule. Not only was it about school pride – it was about settling a score.
You see, both Notre Dame’s quarterback Jimmy Clausen and Michigan’s quarterback come from strong …read more

With so many changes to the Michigan coaching staff and team roster over the past year, head coach Rich Rodriguez isn’t sure which player is best for the top job – leading the team as quarterback. So, during the team’s Week One game against Western Michigan, he’ll play three different quarterbacks – Denard “Shoelace” Robinson, Tate Forcier, and Nick Sheridan. In fact, I’d even argue that, if they really had the chance to play against all over schools, Michigan would end up in the top ten. We’ll see if they actually make it that far, but in today’s win against Illinois (who went into the game 5-2), they showed a lot of heart.
What Michigan did not show was a lot of Hart. Mike Hart, that is. Hart, the BCS’s leading rusher with and average of 152 yards a game, didn’t even …read more
Dear Mike Hart,

Dear Mike Hart,
I hate Michigan. I mean…hate. As a die-hard Penn State fan, I feel it is my duty to loath your team with every cell of my being. I’m sure you understand.
And yet, I wanted you to win the Heisman.
Let’s be honest – there aren’t really any top candidates for this year’s award. Last year, your fifth-place showing was impressive, and your entrance to the Purdue game was nothing short of spectacular. You weren’t just Michigan’s lead rusher…you were the nation’s leading rusher. And I’m behind you on that.
Has your ankle injury during the second quarter against …read more
