AutoCollage Application from Microsoft Research

I came across an interesting graphics application recently from Microsoft Research. It’s called AutoCollage 2008. It meshes a variety of your photos together to create an interesting and custom collage from those photos.
AutoCollage is a fairly light (7MB) download and installs easily on your machine. Once installed, you simply open the application and point it to a directory of photos you’d like to collage together. The program searches through the folder and pulls in the specified number of photos you’d like to use in your collage.

Scoble’s Cry Factor Now Available

Remember when Robert Scoble, was reduced to tears over something that he had gotten a peak of at Microsoft’s development teams? It turns out that the cause of all the eye leaking is now available to the public.
The Microsoft Research WorldWide Telescope (why can I not get David Letterman’s production company ‘Worldwide Pants’ out of my mind?).
I’m not so sure about being reduced to tears, but the effort is pretty daunting and Microsoft appears to have done a great job of delivering on a very expansive area.
