McCready said her relationship with Clemens, who she met when she was only 15, started a “downward spiral when it came to her future relationships with men.” McCready admits that Clemens was the first person she “fell madly in love with” and that he promised her many things but never delivered. Their affair lasted for a over decade, until 2006.

McCready is now 33 and trying to get her life together. She will appear on Celebrity Rehab with “actress Mackenzie Phillips, former madam Heidi Fleiss, actor Tom Sizemore and former NBA star Dennis Rodman.”

Mindy is meeting with ABC exec’s to talk about a reality show based on her “tumultuous romantic past.” ~source

In case there was any doubt whether Rodger will be a part of the series, Mindy clears it up this way:

“What happens in my personal life will be on display on national television and (Clemens) is certainly part of my past.”

Mindy McCready to Blab About Clemens Affair in Documentary

Thanks to Mark’s take on Roger Clemens‘ recent woes (the Photoshopped image is a nice touch) , we discovered that the Rocket apparently launched himself into more than just Mindy McCready on the extramarital front. The latest rumor is that he also spent quality time with Paulette Dean Daly (not to be confused with Southern cooking queen Paula Deen), the ex-wife of golf pro John Daly. 

Clemens has seen better PR days, no doubt about it. It could be worse. At least he didn’t end up on the list of dudes sporting bad hairstyles on their baseball cards.

Another Notch in Clemens’ Belt: John Daly’s Ex

As expected, everyone who has a stake in this—Clemens, McCready, and Clemens nemesis/steroid abuse whistleblower Brian McNamee—took turns stirring the pot.   

One series of events, three interpretations. Actually, make that four, given that Clemens changed his story. Here’s the latest:

A teary-eyed McCready fessed up to the New York Daily News.

Clemens (shock of all shocks) initially denied the tryst chatter but given McCready’s sing-like-a-canary routine, the puffed-up pitcher has finally admitted it.

Oh, and here’s the spin from the Brian McNamee camp. You can almost see the cartwheels they’re doing with this silver bullet for character assassination.  

You know, once upon a time we suspected Clemens of having a voodoo doll and using it on McNamee, but now we’re wondering if maybe McNamee’s hooked up with a Clemens-cursing witch doctor of his own. . .

One-Stop Shopping on the Clemens-McCready-and-Even-McNamee Affair

If the steroid abuse scandal and ensuing war with ex-trainer Brian McNamee put  Clemens in the hot seat, the allegations that he had a 10-year affair with Mindy McCready should make those congressional hearings seem like a bachelor party.

The rumor is that country croonerette/jailbird and parole violator McCready embarked on a relationship with the 7-time Cy Young Winner when she was—eep!—just 15 years old.

But was there any hanky panky? Or was the train wreck blonde songstress, who sometimes traveled with Clemens (and with Debbie Clemens‘ knowledge, apparently), just a good family friend?
