It was another great week of caption submissions on the Bud Selig picture. This week’s winner is Rob!

Time for another round of ‘Create the Caption’ here at Inside the Ballpark. I’ve got a good one for y’all today! In honor of the 2008 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft that wrapped up last weekend, I have to give you a chance at this photo of MLB commissioner Bud Selig at the podium. Let’s hear it! With the Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft kicking off today, I figured I needed to post some material relating to the draft. So today on the ‘Thursday 10′ – I give to you, the ‘Biggest Major League Baseball Draft Busts.’ You’ll notice that most of these guys were a number one overall pick in the MLB draft, however there are a couple that were number two overall selections as well.

Pittsburgh Pirates’ draft history a bit cloudy

The Pittsburgh Pirates haven’t exactly had the best luck when it comes to the Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft. In fact, the Pirates have really been unable to produce much with their draft selections, with the exception of a few players.
In today’s Titusville Herald, Seth Murphy takes a look back at some of the mistakes by the Pirates in the draft, but he really hammers on the 2002 draft, when Pittsburgh selected Ball State right-hander Bryan Bullington with the number one overall pick.
