In case you missed it, which I’m sure plenty of you did, here is a video featuring the best goals of the 2008 MLS season. If you are a big soccer fan, you’ll enjoy it. If you are not a big soccer fan but you have insomnia, this video could help you match up on your sleep.
The MLS is actually doing well as a league. They found some soccer fans in the United States and they are now expanding each year. Props to them.

English Premier League kicks off new season

In case you were caught up watching Michael Phelps and the Olympics today, you might have missed (or forgot to watch) the opening games of the 2008-09 English Premier League season. So what if there is soccer in the Olympics? Yes, Major League Soccer is happening now in the U.S., but there’s just something about the EPL that is really special.

MLS player retires to enter priesthood

This is not a headline that you see everyday. A Major League Soccer player has decided to retire and enter priesthood. Chase Hilgenbrinck, a former Clemson University standout, has stated the need to fulfill his spiritual needs.
Hilgenbrinck has already accepted the calling and will serve six years in a seminary in order to become a Roman Catholic priest. Like I said, this is not something you normally expect from professional athletes. However, Hilgenbrinck (26) has turned in his uniform to the New England Revolution for something a little more holy.
