Spore Creature Creator On June 17, Conjure Your Kind

One of the most anticipated games of the year, Spore, will be releasing a Spore Creature Creator (retail and free demo available) on 17th June. The free demo will be made available on Spore website on that fateful day.

The Spore Creature Creator gives Spore fans, and those who are creatively curious, the first hands-on opportunity to design their own species and share it with their friends. All creatures designed with the Spore Creature Creator can be imported into the full retail version of Spore for PC and Mac when it launches on September 5, 2008 in Europe and September 7, 2008 in North America.

Business Wire is reporting that Sonic the Hedgehog can be downloaded from the iTunes Store for $4.99.

Can’t think of what to get someone for Christmas?

Well here’s your ~~cheap~~ inexpensive solution for your favorite iPod toting Sonic lover.

I will say though that I went to iTunes.com to try and find a link directly to the game.

No luck.

Game Programmer Gets Whacked by Boss

If you think working in the game industry is a bed of roses, you are totally wrong. In Shanghai, China, a mobile phone game programmer was supposedly whacked by his boss, CEO of Gamigo and got screwed in the head several times by the VP of the game company.

The reason for such violence was that the CEO did not trust this poor programmer. The programmer insisted that he did not make any tweaks without permission for a mobile game named Buddha’s Palm Mobile (mobile version of Ru Lai Online) but the CEO refused to believe and accused him of screwing up the game and not meeting the company’s deadline.

By the way, the VP used her high heel shoe as a weapon. Talk about dual use, lol.

WCG Asian Championships – Samsung Babe

In case you didn’t know, WCG Asian Championships is held at Suntec convention hall 602, Singapore, during these few days and Sunday is the last day. I dropped by on Saturday and went to check out a few game events and babes. Actually there are only pretty ladies from Samsung. Maybe there’s more but Samsung has the biggest booth with the most number of babes and I didn’t check out the other booths.

Anyway, here’s a picture taken with a bubbly Samsung girl. Sharks, I forgot to ask her name ~~and number~~.

You can check out their latest handphone models, with games definitely.

It’s Mission Impossible for Tom Cruise’s kids or his family to play or even read anything related to Nintendo Wii, DS, DS Lite; Sony PlayStation 2, PS3, PSP; Microsoft Xbox 360; gaming consoles; video games and PC games in his household.

This ultimate video game ban applys to all his family members including his two older kids. And they are not allowed to watch TV with the exception of movies. Duh.

I guess I will choose Nintendo Wii rather than a Hollywood dad.

Paris Hilton did appear at E3 and at Gameloft booth promoting her series of controversial mobile games but she did not really know the name of the game which is Paris Hilton’s Jewel Jam.

She replaced “Jewel Jam” with “Diamond Quest” but we shouldn’t really blame her (probably scared by the E3 crowds, the drooling men and the forever-flashing cameras). I must admit she did look pretty (without breaking any booth babes rules) on this occasion.

But someone @ YouTube commented…

This woman is a modern tragedy.

Oh well, you either hate her or love her. I guess I’m the latter.
