Review: Sansa Fuze mp3 player by Sandisk

The sleek, simple Sansa Fuze by Sandisk is positioned to take on the iPod Nano head-to-head, with comparable specs to the Nano but a much friendlier pricetag, at just $80, $100, or $130, depending on the model you choose.
Available in 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB sizes that come in black, pink, red, blue, and silver, the Fuze has a stylish, easy to use navigation menu which reminds me of the Xbox navigation scheme, where new items slide into view as you scroll. And I love the start-up and shut-down animations, which are just plain cool.

TechFlash has posted a 6-minute walkthrough video that shows off the lovely transitions and full capabilities of the Zune HD. Take a look…
The Zune HD is available for pre-order now, in both 16GB and 32GB flavors, at $219.99 and $289.99, respectively. It can be ordered from Amazon.com, Best Buy, and Walmart (and yes, the price is the same for all three — I checked) for shipment around its September 15th launch date. There are a number of accessories available to pre-order for the device as well, including a Car Pack, a Charge Pack, a Power Pack, Sync Cables, and more.

Who would have thought that you could get an MP3 player along with 1,000 songs for less than $100? SanDisk, inventors of flash storage cards, has released a very affordable new MP3 player that requires no downloads and no computer, storing songs on its proprietary MicroSD cards.
It’s called “slotRadio,” and the technology that makes it work is smartly utilized to create a very attractive package for consumers. The slotRadio player is bundled with a 1,000 song slotRadio Mix card, which plays in your slotRadio player or SanDisk’s Sansa Fuze player. The Mix cards are preloaded with 1,000 full songs from …read more

Three items on my will-purchase-sometime-in-the-near-future-hopefully list right now include an Amazon Kindle, a new Logitech webcam and the 120GB Zune.
Current 30GB Zune holders aren’t too happy right now as there appears to have been systematic failure of 30GB Zunes across the land recently. Microsoft appears to be aware of the problem, but no solutions are forth-coming yet from them.
Customers using the Zune 30 might experience problems starting their players. We’re aware of the problem and are working to correct it. The Zune Social might be slow or inaccessible. Sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks for your patience!
