Thirty-one-year-old California girl, Allyson Felix easily won the women&#8217;s 200m event at the US Track and Field Qualifying Meet in Eugene, Oregon on Sunday, securing her a spot on the US Olympic Team. Felix is the reigning world champion in this event and won the Silver Medal in Athens.
Joining her in Beijing will be second place finisher, Muna Lee, who won the 100m event earlier in the week, and third place finisher, Marshevet Hooker.

The top three finishers in yesterday&#8217;s women&#8217;s 100m event at the US Olympic Track and Field qualifying meet are going to Beijing.  They are Muna Lee, Torri Edwards, and Lauryn Williams.
Lee is a former world champion (2005) and an NCAA runner-up. Williams is also a former world champion. She also won the silver medal in the 100m in Athens.

She was disqualified at the 2000 games for using the stimulent, nikethamide and banned from competition for two years, missing the Athens games. Nikethamide has since been downgraded as a banned substance and Edwards&#8217; suspension was lifted. </p>
